Esports (electronic sports) is a competition where instead of using a ball or doing anything physical, people play video games competitively as a career to win money.

Now Esports is the most watched and streamed event on Twitch and YouTube combined, and is being considered a sport as big time owners of regular franchise teams are buying teams for competitive gaming.

Many people do not realize but the same amount of characteristic that are required by a sports athlete is the same as a professional gamer.

Professional gamers practice for up to 7–9 hours a day, probably even more to get better then there opponent. Like a sports team, there are professional gaming teams.

Most of the big teams pay big to have the best players, which means those who are striving to reach the level of being a professional gamer is not easy as some think it is.

In 2008 is when computer and console games were hosting tournaments for players who wanted to compete.

Since then the final prize money was only up too $200 starting out since there were no big sponsors wanting to invest.

Now in 2021 In Dota 2, a player can win up to $40 million in a tournament.

For the Call Of Duty franchise a player can win up $4 million where as back then it was only a $1,000.

There is no question as to now video games are very popular, but the skill gap that comes with it as anyone who has talent has a chance to make it competitively.

Esport teams are popular then ever as they have started to get entertainers, rappers, and actors to get involved in there teams.

Post Malone who is the most recognized artist joined the COD team Dallas Empire, making him partners with the teams.

It could only be a matter of time as we start seeing videogames on live tv.
