Lewis Hamilton does not deserve the hate or criticism
Lewis Hamilton, 36, is a British driver for the Formula 1 team Mercedes AMG Petronas; and in his 14 years of racing is the most hated driver.
It is unbelievable that people do not respect Hamilton just because of his skin color and his success in the sport.
Lewis Hamilton has cemented himself the best driver when he broke Michael Schumacher win record (91) for the most wins in formula 1 last year.
But instead of congratulations from fans on social media, it was full of negative comments towards him, and fans of the sport believe he only beat the record because of the car he is in.
Whenever he wins, people voice that he only wins because of the Mercedes car and not because of the way he drives.
If you have ever seen a race, you can tell that it is not the car as when Hamilton drives its like watching Picasso paint.
He is fast on the corners hitting 200 mph and turning with ease, being able to overtake cars without a challenge is beautiful at time because he makes it look easy, and just him being at the podiums for what seems like every single race because he always finishes with the fastest lap.
But of course with seems like the fans in Formula 1 is always against him, he has said on many occasions how he has dealt with racisms in the sport, even when he was barley starting out as a kid at eight years old.
How parents would say racist remarks towards him and his dad when they would go to races to compete in just because of their color.
He was a easy target because he was the only color person racing and he was winning all the time, but he learned at that early of an age to just ignore it and do what he does.
As of now Lewis Hamilton is the only black driver in Formula 1, and has used his hate as fuel to do good on the track.
Hamilton has even said “I’ll be damned if I’m gonna win all these championships and have all this success and not use it to make change.”
He has used his voice on many occasions and spread awareness of the situation going on in the world.
Lewis Hamilton is a icon and should be treated with respect not like trash because of his success or skin color.
